Saturday Serenity
What a glorious day today was. The sun could not find one cloud with which to hide behind and the deep azure sky reflected the light so as to make one believe the ocean was floating above. A slight ocean breeze carried upon it the scent of the newly cut grass and the sound of the water trickling and splashing down the rocks into the pond completed the senses. The soil seemed to beg for some new plantings and I obliged digging in more summer bulbs and flowers. And as thirst sat in, I gave all before me a plentiful drink. Clipping here and there, a few shrubs required merely a touch-up to bring them back into shape. Finally, my turn to relax, I sat upon my swing and gazing around, I was quite satisfied with the sight which I spied. Day turned to dusky twilight and the red hues to purple...it is again time for the garden to slumber. But I know that tomorrow it will once again come to life and entrance me once again!
