Daffodil Dreams

Spring has definately sprung here in my little corner of the world and it seems that it pays no attention to the tragedies waging half way around the globe. It comes as sure as the sun rises, as clouds drift by and children laugh. No political preference is ever stated or implied. In fact, the only "agenda" is to reach ever skyward.Burst_Of_Spring You will hear no fanfare, no call to arms and no stately procession. But always you will find a "trumpet" proudly displayed, sometimes in colorful harmony, sometimes boldly bright. The daffodil is most definately a harbinger of springtime and usually one of the first to poke it's head out from a long winter nap. We look forward to it's arrival and delight in the colors and fragrance. But for all of it's beauty and showmanship, alas, it lasts only briefly. Perhaps the daffodil is more than just a seasonal flower, maybe...it's true purpose in life is to teach us how very short our stay is here and that we should relish each of our days, stand proud and display our best to those around us!

Today's Quote:

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that, I'll be over here, looking through your stuff.-Jack Handey
