Music. Two rehearsals, two entirely different moodsets. Last night I participated in one of the most agonizing, frustrating, off-putting rehearsals I've ever done. Tonight was a different story. The difference? Tonal music. I'm not saying that atonal music, or 12 tone, or any of that other stuff isn't music. I'm saying that I don't like it and that it frustrates the hell out of me. We're doing Bernstein's Missa Brevis which is about as fun as beating your head against a wall. I suppose I guess I'm not cut out for some types of music.

Tuesday Sofia Sideshow has another great little musing, this time on the mass irrelevancy of the left including the following quote that is rather telling: The vast majority on the Left have inadvertently revealed that they can only be relevant when the issue at hand is trivial: flag types over courthouses, McDonald's wrapper composition, number of owls per acre, hazards of untested lipsticks on cats, proper ergonomics for office chairs, use of "he", "his," or "him" in oral presentations, possible coded dangers in children's drawings, SUV's gas mileage. Pipeline 1, Crab 0. As a part of the "Dude, That's fucked up" service I provide to ya'll, here is the latest from that category: The Secret Life of Grover. Somebody's challenging the District of Columbia's gun prohibition. Ah yes, I remember again why I like John McCain and would have voted for him. Good speech, John. An intriguing response to Tiffany and Glenn Reynolds' talk about Prince Charles.
