It is my understanding that a candidate for Greensboro City Council is getting ready to come out for pay raises for Council Members (currently $9,500) and Mayor (currently $12,500) in an upcoming news article.

Here is a recent article I ran across on how the question was addressed in Austin, TX.  Also I posted some other info on this last month after my brother Keith in Kentucky looked into it.

Now don't misunderstand me... $9,500 per year is a gracious plenty amount of money to pay our City Council folks.  Heck, they all tell me that they only work at the job 30 hours per week or so.  That's nearly $6.10 per hour, so who's complaining.
