I tried to find a link to yesterday's Rocky Mountain News story on the Mayor's race but the Rocky Website ended up being no help so far. I'll keep trying to use their site. Here it is.

The upshot was that money is flowing in with Ari Zavaras in the lead followed by Don Mares. The Rocky listed John Hickenlooper, Penfield Tate, Suan Casey, Phil Perington, and Elizabeth Schlosser as the other candidates. The article mentioned that the big push in donations will be in April when people line up with expected winner, and that it's been historically possible to win in Denver even with less dough if you work smart and hard.

I'm wondering which candidate will be the first with a weblog. Instead of popping $40 for Radio and a few more bucks for some hosting from someone like Forethought.net, they're probably all behind in the web game. You guys could be up and running in a day or two.

Timothy Butler: "It may not have been a perfect year for GNU/Linux, but in my opinion, the successes far outweigh the failures. All indications seem to suggest that 2003 might just be even better." Mr. Butler offers an opinion piece on GNU/Linux successes in 2002.
