Weblog Why

I think of weblogs as providing the opportunity for us to really get to know a candidate enabling insight in the same way as the Lincoln-Douglas debates from two centuries ago. Sound bites, carefully crafted position statements and speeches fall way short of letting the voters learn about the person. I'd love a daily post from each of the candidates in this year's Denver Municipal Elections. For you candidates that aren't rolling in dough, Radio is $40. I'll help any and all candidates set up their weblog. E-mail me at jworr@operamail.com.

Candidates - Start your Weblogs

I've added a few links to different candidates' websites. I'm still looking for more. No one seems to have a weblog yet. Are they afraid to write directly to voters?

Four Years of DMCA

Slashdot [slashdot.org] has a discussion going around the EFF's article dealing with 4 years under the DMCA. It's a good read summarizing the unintended effects of the law. There's a good historical synopsis included.
