2003 Denver Mayoral Election Is Ari Zavaras vulnerable regarding the Denver Police Department "spy files" controversy? Don Mares wants to appoint a three person commision to see that the police do not violate the city's new policy on intelligence gathering, according to this article from the Denver Rocky Mountain News. This should be fun, Zavaras is a Webb insider, having served in various capacities at "the pleasure" of the Mayor.
