Cable Woes
Coyote Gulch is having cable problems. The Comcast technician is due out tomorrow afternoon. Light posting until tomorrow evening.

Dem Strategy?
Bull Moose: "The Moose urges the donkey to go country. If Democrats are to become a majority party again, they cannot discount the south or rural parts of America. The most significant shifts in congressional seats since 1994 has been in rural areas. And clearly, it is cultural issues that have precipitated the erosion of Democratic support."

Referendum C
Here's an opinion piece from yesterday's Denver Post detailing how the battle over Referendum C is shaping up [June 13, 2005, "See No Evils vs. Lessers of All Evils"]. From the article, "In between vetoes and selecting Colorado's new quarter, Gov. Bill Owens has been trying to pull some well-heeled Republicans back under the GOP's big tent. Referendum C, the ballot initiative to reform the Taxpayer's Bill of Rights, has created a rift in the party, pitting the See No Evils against the Lessers of All Evils."

Stream Temperature Rules
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is suspending a decision about rules on stream temperatures for two years, according to the Denver Post [June 14, 2005, "State postpones water-temperature rules"]. From the article, "Saying the science needs to be fine- tuned, department officials are set to adopt interim standards this week and then revisit the issue in two years after more studies."
