News: Bush continues to get hammered by the media for what he did or did not
know (or do) about 9/11 warnings --
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A32191-2002May17.html
Comment: Media relations people have an old saying -- "don't screw up on a
slow news day." With nothing much going on in the Middle East, it's been a
slow news time, perfect for the media to leap onto stories about Bush
administration incompetence. Hey, reporters are only doing their jobs.
Remember last summer when Calif. Gov. Gray Davis was ridiculed for issuing a
vague warning that San Fran bridges were a possible terrorist target? Seems
to me that a warning about bin Laden last summer would have garnered the
same reaction because there wasn't enough specific information that would
have let people do anything constructive. What would you have done? Grounded
all the airlines?
My prediction is that Bush will find someone in the FBI to take the fall and
then this will blow over, especially as the media turns their attention to
the election season.
News: Let yourself go -- Lego, that is. This site let's you build your own
Lego person -- http://www.reasonablyclever.com/
News: New comic strip written by, of all people, a San Fran-area lawyer --

Comment: A wry sense of humor with quirky drawings. Who know lawyers even
had a sense of humor?
