Ooooh - two whole days without a post - the result of two very late nights in a row (which we Slat Rats aren't particularly good at.)
Thursday night, the Ski Boy, Cheri (my best friend), and I saw: . The production was excellent - an energetic, polished, and talented cast. Great sets and by the time we were on there on Thursday, the sound issues had been fixed. My one complaint was the music itself - nothing memorable at all - just wall-to-wall undifferentiated rock.
Last night, Peter and I saw Chicago. What a total blast - great casting, great singing, great choreography, great sets, and on and on. Again, my only complaint is the same as Rent - the music is just not that memorable.
The "tap dancing" courtroom scene was hilarious. I asked Peter if he tap danced like that in front of the jury. At the very least, Peter would look very sharp in the three piece spangled pinstripe suit Richard Gere wore.
