This is hilarious - Yao's translator is a short little white geek guy. Together they look like Mutt and Jeff.

Tonight's wine: Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) 1999 Chateau Duahr-Milon. This wine is a joint project between Lafite and one of my favorite California vinters, Chalone. My take on this puppy is that it is going to be very good. However, right now it is quite young and still tight - but with a superb nose. Some nice blackberry flavor and very well made. It just needs to cellar.

Man, Yao just slammed it in with 10 seconds in OT. Hubba Hubba.

As I type and as we watch the game, it's "pelting." Pelting is not rain. It is not snow. It is not even sleet. It is sort of a frozen snow thing. Basically it's 30 degrees and "pelting." Another variation of great Alaska weather.

Does life get any better? The Ski Boy and I just returned from a great Friday evening dinner at Sacks and got home in time to watch the Lakers and Rockets in OT.

I admit it, I am on the Yao bandwagon. Although it's Steve Francis that has been the real show tonight.

And looking at Phil Jackson, without facial hair, he really reminds me of Herman Munster.
