Not one of my better days on the CFS/Fibro front. Click here for my whine.

Clem also watched the Super Bowl today. She's such a cutie!

Even though she's silver and black, Clemmie is a Bucs fan. The Raiders are just too scary for her.

I tried to take the red out using Photoshop's Red Eye tool, but I just couldn't get it to work. I sure must have been missing something. So I used an alternate method that did o.k.

The typical ratty looking football fan.

Clemmie definitely needs to visit the groomer. She looks like an unmade bed. However, that is a very impressive white beard and mustache. I bet Dr. Wald is jealous.

Super Bowl ad comments:

As we all know, the real reason to watch the Super Bowl is for the ads! So, I'll use this space to blog my favs:

The Budweiser Clydesdale football teams, standing on both sides of the ball, watching a zebra:

From USA Today: The zebra is a study in calm as he sticks his head into the curtained instant replay box and studies the monitor, just like real NFL officials — men in stripes sometimes referred to as, yes, zebras.

Ty, a 30-year-old zebra, plays a referee in a Bowl ad for Anheuser-Busch.

Pepsi TwistO.K. - we just saw the Osbournes/Osmonds Pepsi Twist ad. Somewhat cute - especially when the Osmonds sing "We're a Little Bit Country" to an aghast Ozzie.

The Fed Ex Castaway ad is really funny. "Nothing much in that package - just a satellite phone, fishing rod, and seeds." By the way, as far as I'm concerned Fed Ex missed the boat by not having the Castaway Ad up on their website. Their webmaster should have been sitting there waiting - as soon as the ad aired, he should have uploaded it.

The old and young Michael Jordon Gatorade ad is kind of lame.

The "Yo, Yao, Yogi" Visa Checkcard ad is another cutie. Yao Ming is quite the phenom.

Puli

It's a Puli! The Puli/Rasta Bud Light ad is a total hoot. One of Clemmie's best friends was a little Puli named Pingo. So, if a Bouvier can't be in a Super Bowl ad, a Puli is the next best thing!

Another great dog ad! The little terrier kicking off the head of the fire hydrant. From USA Today again: The other Sierra Mist commercial features a cute mutt out for a walk on a hot day. It stops at a fire hydrant and lifts a leg. But instead of doing its business, the overheated dog kicks off the cap of the hydrant, and a blast of cool water sends the dog — and its master — across the sidewalk.

Oooh - The Sierra-Mist baboon 2001 knock off is a total scream! Now Sierra-Mist has the web thing all figured out. They have their ads available for download and ask visitors to vote on them.

The Monster.com runaway tractor trailor ad is a good one. Although the trucking industry is not happy. From The Trucker:

Some members of the trucking industry are incensed about a Monster.com Super Bowl ad that depicts a reckless, driverless, runaway truck that destroys property and narrowly misses vehicles.

The ad, slated to run during the second quarter of the Jan. 26 televised 2003 Super Bowl, paints a "grossly inaccurate portrayal of the American trucking industry," said a joint release issued late Jan. 24 by the American Trucking Associations, the Truckload Carriers Association and the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association.

O.K. - we're deep in the 3rd quarter and the game is completely out of hand: Tampa Bay is ahead 34 to 3. However, there are still a few good ads. The Reebok Terry Tate Office Linebacker, although a tad violent, is very funny.
