QOTD

"Furious activity is no substitute for understanding."

H. H. Williams.  [Quotes of the Day]

Reminds me of the time I watched in fascination as a waitress scurried about the dining room, making happy chit-chat, touching nearly every table in one way or another, rattling dishes and cups, looking 110% busy--and accomplishing absolutely nothing. Never took an order, never delivered food. Just looked busy. It was truly an amazing thing to watch. Looked good, but no understanding of customer service.

Which somehow segues into the message from a three-hour all-hands meeting I attended this morning--but I'm sure it's just exhaustion, and doesn't really mean anything.
