Friday's musingIt's been a much, much better day today. I picked up my refund check, did a little retail therapy at Walmart, rented two movies for the weekend (Eve's Bayou and Wendigo) and splurged on a box of Whitman's chocolates. I've felt better today than I have in days, and looking forward to a quiet, relaxing weekend. Sunday is Becca's birthday - she'll turn 19. I still need to get her card and gift, and Scott and I plan to bake her a cake (chocolate with buttercream frosting - Yum!) Work went smoothly, and although the day was quite long, I managed to finish two projects before I left the office. Short on help this weekend, and I was thanking my lucky stars that I have people working for me who don't mind doubling up and working two shifts to help cover the schedule. (Bless you all - you know which side of your bread is buttered, and I'll remember each of you at Christmas this year...) Which reminds me...I received an invitation to the annual employee awards banquet which will be held on Feb. 21 at a local restaurant. Scott will be able to go with me as my guest - a good excuse to get all dolled up and enjoy a free meal :) The strangest patterns of weather here lately...one day near 60 and the next down to freezing. I am so ready for spring, for birds and blooms and butterflies. Just within a hint of fragrance, and barely perceived in the corner of my mind's eye, Spring is weaving her skirts of pastel pinks and yellows which soon will be bursting at the seams - ready to dance, spinning and flying, right to my front door. I'll waiting with open arms :) 7:13:54 PM ![]()
