The end of the Earth as seen by researchers at the University of Washington.

We really do live in a fabulous time - hopefully we won't damage our period too badly.

A neat Keynote trick is to use Omnigraffle to build more complex images (sorry - no equation editor). Export them as .pdf files with the surrounded area turned off and transparency turned on.

You can easily make some rather beautiful diagrams. Fortunately Omnigraffle came bundled with my Mac.

Walter Mossberg compares digital photo suites for people who are interested in point and shoot photography. The new Adobe Photoshop Album doesn't fare well...

A step higher up would be editing images with Photoshop Elements 2.0 (beyond that is full Photoshop). It turns out that Adobe offers a free training disc.

When you get rid of that old PC, do you scrub the hard drive(s)? The percentage of drives with sensitive information on them is remarkable.
