An interesting piece on the Bush family and that class thing. 7:06:05 AM     I've made several trips to the New York Public Library to browse their wonderful image collection. They have been experimenting with a web interface and have now gone live with a collection of about 80,000 images. Very cool and exactly the sort of thing a library should be doing. 6:27:29 AM     this can't be real - can it? (acutally it is) 6:27:14 AM     Adam Engst has a good reputation for explaining technical matters to non-technical people. His early books on Internet connectivity helped thousands of people reason with their PCs and ISPs in the early 90s. He has teamed up with Glenn Fleishman to write an excellent beginner's guide to wireless networking - The Wireless Networking Starter Kit. Their page augments the book along with providing a few excerpts and news. If you haven't installed a wireless network in your home this may be the reference you need. For those who are using Airport they offer a blog. 6:26:44 AM     If you missed the Bill Frist cat killer piece on John Stewart's show here is a link to a quicktime movie. Great stuff, but you probably need a broadband connection.. I doubted this when I first heard about it, but a trip to the library revealed the quote. Reading more than a few pages was hard to take - not so much for his non-feelings towards the kitties (although that is clear), but this is someone who is heavily into himself and his own godliness. A lovely guy ... not to mention that this sort of activity is illegal in most states. Why is it that so many politicians are so taken with themselves? 6:25:52 AM
