Raindrops On Roses
The showers of this morning, with its raindrops on the roses, brought to mind some of my favorite things. Since childhood, I have been ever fascinated with photography and capturing "moments in time". As we live in a rapidly changing world, it's always nice to be able to look back at some of those times and attempt to relive precious memories. Those glimpses into a past passion, a serene scene or a vision of a view can literally help transport one back to tranquil times. And often, these wanderings bring back thoughts of joy and happiness. We tend to take photos of the times we wish to remember, perhaps to help us forget about the times we wish to forget. When I look back upon the thousands of images I have been fortunate enough to capture, I see more than color and form...I see...me. Because it is that thought of who, when, why, and where I was just at that particular moment. These stilled seconds have a great definination for my life and if one looks closely at their own "images", even in their mind, perhaps they too will see something just a bit more than that captured by the camera!
Today's Quote:
I always thought of photography as a naughty thing to do—that was one of my favorite things about it, and when I first did it, I felt very perverse.-Diane Arbus
