Sense Of Security
Today, a lone beetle crossed my path standing motionless yet alert. When I attempted to capture forever his likeness, he ran wildly in every direction in his attempt to seek safety from the mono-eyed monster that hovered above him. In his defense, I suppose I too would scurry about looking for any shelter that offered itself as security. So it was at that moment I contemplated the curious concept of security. What does it really mean? Is there really such a thing as true "security"? Many people have different views of what security is. For some, it may be a home and family. Others see monetary visions as their protection. Still more find the sense of secular intervention as their stone during a storm. But then there are those who, like the beetle, search out blindly, and grasp upon someone else simply because they are there, even though they may possess a multitude of sins. It seems that these digressions are easily overlooked if the seeker has no faith in himself. People will make themselves believe and endure, a great many fallacies in order to have that sense of wellbeing. Perhaps though, the real sense of security comes from within. Have faith in you, be strong and thereby gain the knowledge that only you can create that sense of security for yourself.
Today's Quote:
Probably the only place where a man can feel really secure is in a maximum security prison, except for the imminent threat of release.-Germaine Greer
