I Didn't Say It (but I wish I had)

  • A study in the Washington Post says that women have better verbal skills than men. I just want to say to the authors of that study: Duh. --Conan O'Brien
  • I just broke up with someone and the last thing she said to me was, 'You'll never find anyone like me again!' I'm thinking, 'I should hope not! If I don't want you, why would I want someone like you?' --Larry Miller
  • I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman where the Self Help section was. She said if she told me it would defeat the purpose. --Dennis Miller
  • I had a linguistics professor who said that it's man's ability to use language that makes him the dominant species on the planet. That may be. But I think there's one other thing that separates us from animals. We aren't afraid of vacuum cleaners. -- Jeff Stilson
  • Sometimes I think war is God's way of teaching us geography. -- Paul Rodriguez
  • Why does Sea World have a seafood restaurant? I'm halfway through my fishburger and I realize, "Oh my God.  I could be eating a slow learner." -- Lynda Montgomery
  • The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they are okay, then it's you. -- Rita Mae Brown

"If you have tears, prepare to shed them now" (Julius Caesar Act III, scene 2).

Everyone knows that love can hurt.  It can rip your heart out, toss it on the floor, pour flammable fluid all over, light a match, and sing Beach Boys songs till you die.  We've all been there.  But I've never imagined that the pain love can cause could reach such extreme levels as I'm about to share with you.  These are taken from True stories of sad love on the internet, perhaps the web's largest collection of poorly written, nauseatingly short-sighted, oh-my-life-sucks stories I've ever had the pleasure to read.  If you feel lousy now, you'll feel much better after reading this.  You have to in comparison to these losers.  Tenuous grasp of the English language left intact for your enjoyment:

as I read all the storys out there I realized that all of them start out like.."there was this girl" or "I was sooo in love". these people are sad because they hade a relationship or love, but most people dont know what its like to never have that. im 16 years old, and I have never had a girlfriend.... Iv never kissed someone with passion..... Iv never ..iv never.... get to show people how much I care... I sit up all night and wonder why Iv never realy ben loved.... I dont mean parental love... my family loves me, but thats diffrent..... I just wish there was someone out there that understands me, and what im going through...

I was in love with a guy I met at our local WalMart. He was my friend's roomate and he had been asking about me for some time. We fell in love and went out for a year. He was the best. One day we decided to break up because I wanted something more tha he did. The next guy I met asked me to marry him and gave me a 1 1/2 carat diamond!! (How could I say no?) I never stopped loving my Wal Mart man, though. I still do, so very much after 3 years!! I saw him recently even though he moved 250 miles away and sparks flew. I am a married woman, though. I waited too little too late. Or not long enough...

I was with a person for 4 years after thinking that I knew him I married him.2 months into the marriege I found out that he was sexualy melesting my 6 year old daughter. I guess that it was better that I found out know then later. I will never know the ha l truth and the hall stories how do you ask a little girl things that it just make you sick even thinking about it. I am a single mother with no family what so ever, that is the reason I am doing this just to take it off my chest. I will never se man or p ople the same way wich is sad because not every body is the same I guess that is something that I have to learn again. When you think you know a person you realy don't! All yours, (a single mother story)

I met this guy when I was 14. We went out a couple times with a bunch of friends. Then we decided we would go out. We went out for 3 years. We were engaged. We had our wedding planned. When I was 17 he over dosed on heroin. It was the hardest thing i've ever gone thru. But I made it thru it. I haven't dated anyone since then. Its still hard to deal with but I guess I'll make it. Hope this might help someone out there to know their not alone if they may be going thru something similar.

Don't you feel all warm and fuzzy inside now?  Especially after reading that last one.  Who hasn't fallen in love with a heroin addict and suffered the consequences?  Been there and done that!

Well, if you'd like to read more of these love stories, visit True stories of sad love on the internet.  The 2001 stories all seem cut-off, but the 2000 stories work just fine.  Hundreds of stories to lift your spirits and reaffirm your faith in the power of love.
