The Decline Of Civilization Part II A few weeks back I wrote about the decline of our civilization in relation to the number one song in the land being "Get Busy" (it's now number two on the Billboard chart, for those keeping score at home).    But going back through the misty mists of time, some might remember when I wrote about Avril and her song, "Things I'll Never Say."  To be succinct, I concluded she sucks. I regret to inform you that Avril is now sucking on a grander scale.  Paramount Pictures now plans on turning her "Sk8er Boi" into a movie.  That's right.  The film company that brought you The Godfather and Braveheart now wants to pollute our culture with a movie based upon the lyrics of that crap: Too bad that she couldn't see See the man that boy could be There is more than meets the eye I see the soul that is inside Sure she does.  If girls like her were really into guys with soul inside, they'd have posters of James Brown up in their rooms.  Or Gandhi.  Hopefully this movie does about as well as Glitter or that Britney Spears' movie.  Or wait -- are they the same one?  I'd actually be utterly disappointed in myself if I knew the answer to that. 9:33:58 PM     |
