I received the most amazing phone call today at work. I answered the phone and on the other end was a woman who identified herself as "so-and-so" (I of course did not write her name down and immediately forgot it) from "The Infinite Mind." "The Infinite Mind" is one of my favorite NPR programs - absolutely top drawer compelling stuff on mental health issues.

Funnily enough, I wasn't at all surprised they would be calling me out of the blue - I think it's because I'm so accustomed to receiving "cold" vendor calls. And besides - why not "The Infinite Mind?" It seems as if I get calls from everyone else.

As it turns out, the Infinite Mind researcher had run across - my blog (!) oh boy oh boy - while doing research for an upcoming program on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and wanted to ask some follow up questions. Even though I'm an old hand techie, it's stuff like this that leads one to marvel - "Isn't the Internet flat out amazing?"

She and I had quite a long conversation. One never knows how one actually did - did I natter on too much? Was I up on my soapbox too much?  "Did I make any sense at all?" I hope I did have one or two minor little worthwhile thoughts. But,  I'm sure I'll be "deep background" at best. But the whole thing was very flattering.

Oh - by the way, the Chronic Fatigue show will air on October 9th (October 10th here in Anchorage).
