Sunday musingsAs I'm listening to The Simpson's in the background and the "crunch, crunch" sounds of Elvis scarfing down another saucer of cat chow, I'm thinking about what a nice weekend I've had. The weather was beautiful both days, although a bit colder and windier today, and I had the pleasure of seeing a huge red sun setting only a short while ago. Spring's a tease, and we're expecting temps in the 20's tonight. This afternoon, my mother and I drove to Murfreesboro to meet my daughter and her fiance at the Old Time Pottery to pick out silk flowers for the wedding. So many variations and so many colors! We managed to pick out some exquisite buttery creams and ivories in three different flowers which Carrie will handtie together with silk ribbons for the bridesmaids. It was a nice outing - grandmother, daughter, grandaughter doing the wedding thing...(although I still vote for elopement!) Tomorrow is the big "restructuring day" where I work. I can only hope there aren't any suprises I'm unprepared for. New boss, new ideas...as long as I get to keep my job, I don't much care what he wants to change. I have to admit, I do feel somewhat anxious about it, and I know most everyone else working there feels the same.
