100 things about me

"But it isn't Easy," said Pooh to himself... "Because Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you. And all you can do is go where they can find you." ~The House at Pooh Corner

Might like to wear cotton, might like to wear
silk, Might like to drink whiskey, might like to
drink milk, You might like to eat caviar, you
might like to eat bread, You may be sleeping on
the floor, sleeping in a king-sized bed

But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes
indeed You're gonna have to serve somebody, Well,
it may be the devil or it may be the Lord But
you're gonna have to serve somebody.
(from Gotta Serve Somebody by Bob Dylan)

Tuesday musings

Not much to say tonight...I'm cooking dinner for the kids and we'll all be watching American Idol later.  Although it's been a beautiful day outside, I've seen very little of it other than to walk across the parking lot to the cafeteria for lunch.  If it's this nice tomorrow, I'm thinking of moving my desk outside...

The meeting with the new CEO went so well that now I don't know why I was stressing over it so.  We spent an hour together this afternoon reviewing my department staffing, and even though I'll have to do away with a couple of positions pretty soon, I felt supported in my efforts and in my competence as a manager.  I think this new arrangement  may work out well, and I'm actually looking forward to working with him.  We'll see...

The sun's going down and I've many womanly chores to do before the troops arrive, the least of which is to figure out if I do Ragu or Prego.  Oh, and if you're an Al Pacino fan, you might like this - which has absolutely nothing to do with anything here...

Cheers  :)
