Oh, where do fairies hide their heads When snow lies on the hills, When frost has spoiled their mossy beds, And crystallized their rills? Beneath the moon they can not trip Perhaps in small blue diving bells, Perhaps in red Vesuvius, When they return there will be mirth, The maids, to keep the elves aloof, --Thomas Haynes Bayly 6:31:15 PM comment []

Things that make me go arrrghhh!Pet peeve #1: People who leave shopping carts stranded in parking lots. There are designated racks for carts. Use them. Stray carts are a safety hazard and a sign of sheer laziness. This city has the right idea... Pet peeve #2: Nurses who talk to adult patients in baby-talk. I'm 40-something years old - don't speak to me as if I'm two. If I wanted to converse with babies, I'd camp out in a Pediatric office. Don't reply to the answers I give to your serious medical questions with "okey dokey dokey dokey!" It's no coincidence that the doctor strongly resembled this guy. Pet peeve #3: Walking into a restroom and finding toilet paper strown all over the floor just waiting to stick to the bottom of my shoe. How does all that toilet paper land on the floor? I mean, what do people DO in there? Wait..don't tell me - I don't want to know. Just flush it. For God's sake, just flush it. It never ceases to amaze me how people can be such pigs. Actually, pigs are cleaner. Got it? Ok, then - we'll get along just fine :) 6:04:33 PM comment []
