Somehow the chat turned to great college pranks last night. Places like MIT are rich repositories of the genre but, for me, the quintessential prank is the Caltech Rosebowl Hoax. Several people will be sending notes on the subject, so it is necessary to point out the MIT Gallery of Hacks. For shear volume of academic creative work, MIT clearly leads the nation with quality output continuing. Some are rather ambitious, but none come to the level of the Rosebowl Hoax. 6:23:40 AM
