Steve Cisler offers another of his lucid reports - this one on the World-InfoCon that just took place in Amsterdam.

Read it!

We have visited a few interesting modeling sites and Kristen notes that she and her husband fly scale R/C sailplanes in Germany. Most of theirs are homemade, but they recently acquired a 4.8 meter wingspan model of a DG Flugzeugbau DG-600 that "flies like the real thing" (she flies full scale sailplanes too). Amazing stuff and not inexpensive.

Speaking of radio control - if you want to find anything Geoff tells me that RC Universe is the place to go. Everything from indoor flight to aerial photography to boats and cars to gas turbine powered models...

The high end is interesting ... gas turbine powered helicopters and aircraft with engines that cost several thousand dollars, but are probably bargains considering the amount of engineering that must be involved. This turboprop engine is almost watchlike.

First Monday usually has one or two very interesting articles every month (guess when it comes out:) This month Gerhard Fischer talks about the continuum from couch potato to designer and suggests it shouldn't be a binary state.

Glueball - one of our ferrets - died shortly after surgery yesterday. If you have a pet take some time and give him or her a hug. They are very special.
