Here is a good recipe for tuna (or salmon) salad. Serve it in whole wheat pitas.
Use two 6 ounce cans of tuna or salmon. Use the good stuff, not the stuff that looks like cat food when you open it! Drain the liquid and put in a medium bowl. Break up the chunks (hopefully, you have chunks and not mush!). Finely chop some celery and some sweet onion, about 1/3 cup of each. You can also add some chopped cucumber, peeled and seeded. Add some pepper and a dash or two of dill weed seasoning. Then add low-fat mayo - start with 1/4 cup and add a little more if it looks too dry.
Cut the pitas in half and gently open the pocket. Fill with tuna (or salmon) mixture. A slice of muenster cheese is a very good addition, as well!
