Peaceful Pagoda Paradise
Today was indeed a very peaceful Sunday. As the sunshine warmed the day and a gentle ocean breeze blew from the west, I enjoyed the tranquility of the day in the garden. However, if you have read this blog with any frequency, you will well note that I am rarely content to merely sit and watch the day go by. There was the ever-present sowing of summertime seedlings and burying of beefy bulbs. Even the patio was perked up with the addition of a new wicker sofa, coffee table, chairs and cushions. And while shopping for those accouterments, out of the corner of my eye peered the pitched pinnacle of this peaceful pagoda. Made of cast iron, painted pitch-black and having a small levered door in which one can place a small votive, it was the perfect piece with which to place by the recently planted Japanese Maple tree. My day now at its end, I could finally sit upon the swing and survey the serene scene.
