Jim's Pond - Exploring the Universe of Ideas
"Beware when the great God lets loose a thinker on this planet. Then all things are at risk. It is as when a conflagration has broken out in a great city, and no man knows what is safe, or where it will end." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Another one pulled because of controversy

Yes, that's right. Here is yet another entry that I likely should have not published. The original story did reflect the events as I experienced them. Please see the further comments that I wrote on June 17, 2003 for a brief follow-up written the day after. When asked why I just didn't contact an exec at South Central all I can say is that my experience is likely the same one everybody else was having. I shouldn't need to make that sort of call and I don't believe that I should be asking for and receiving special treatment.

Yes, I probably should have contacted someone at South Central to let them know that their service was broken. That's my fault for not doing so. All I can say, in my own defense, is that sometimes criticism is a good thing. Heaven knows I get enough of it.

Sometimes, (probably often), I show poor judgement. I will be more careful the next time.

Oh, and also, for the most part, my Blogs are very positive. I give credit where credit is due. I expect to have some great experiences with South Central. They will be providing us with several Ethernet circuits this year. I look forward to working with them on these projects. And I look forward to posting those success stories here.......
