A GIGABIT OR BUST
The State of California has a dream. A Gigabit or Bust by 2010. That's right, every California resident connected by at least a gigabit within the next 6 1/2 years. The Gartner Group was called in to assess the merits of this vision. Here are the bottom line conclusions from Gartner:
Significant economic growth opportunity for California
A variety of agendas
No new single killer application
No agreement on the characteristics of broadband
Leadership is essential
Globalization requires action now
If it's good for California, I believe that it's good for Utah. And if California needs leadership, so do we. So........
