Cherry Garcia Instead of two stops in Chicago, I had one stop due to the fact that one of the stops took up the entire trailer. So, the first stop (with its 5:00 AM appointment time) was dropped and now my new appointment time was 6:00 AM. I arrived in Chicago with plenty of time to spare and napped for an hour or so (although it would have been so nice to stay at home for an extra hour in a deep sleep! Hmm...maybe I should make a suggestion that if load times are changed for a driver's morning schedule, the driver should get a call ASAP from day/evening dispatch so that proper plan adjustment can take place beforehand rather than after the fact.)
The unload of the trailer progressed smoothly and I was back in Milwaukee by 9:00 AM. My next load to Minnesota wasn't quite ready so I went home for an hour and had breakfast. I also helped my wife with some computer aspects for a weight loss presentation she will be presenting at one of the Milwaukee Public Schools this coming Saturday. A lot of people are losing big-time weight in the Milwaukee, WI area (Land of the CheeseHeads!) using this weight loss system.
Back at the warehouse, I gathered my paperwork, hooked-up to the trailer, and off I went. Driving was good as it was sunny with gusts of wind buffeting the truck around a bit.
I stopped for the day in the Minneapolis area and snacked on a Ben & Jerry's ice-cream bar (Cherry Garcia). Although I don't subscribe to the political philosophies of Ben and Jerry, they sure know how to make yummy ice-cream.
Well, time to get some rest--tomorrow's day starts for me at 4:00 AM.
