"Title Town" to "Chi-Town"
I did the exact same run as yesterday ("Title Town" [Green Bay, WI] to "The Windy City" [Chicago, IL]). The only thing different was that I needed to drive to another city to locate an empty trailer to exchange it for the loaded trailer in Green Bay, WI.

These runs are actually with another dedicated account within the company. I like them--a good change of pace. And I'm home every night so far--something I wasn't expecting.

Tomorrow, I'll pick up again in Green Bay and deliver the freight to the greater Madison, WI area.

Yesterday, beside the bat splat, the first insect of springtime hit my windshield. Today, a mess of them found my windshield as the day's weather was even warmer. Wouldn't it be a bummer to be an insect and enjoy your first day out and about in life only to become a statistic on some trucker's windshield the very same day?! Fortunately bugs can't think, so we don't have to be concerned with such speculative philosophy. But it does demonstrate how fragile life is--we're here one day and the next...we may not be. Don't take life for granted!
