Today was uneventful.
I was able to unload early in the Minneapolis, MN area and drive home on a pleasant, sunny day.
Tomorrow it's up early and deliver to a location southwest of Chicago, IL.
Oh, one thing that got my attention today was hearing how some unionized outfit in Detroit, MI passed a silly rule recently. It seems that they allowed people in the military to park in their lot. However, some members of the union got miffed over the past view months that some of the vehicles (of military personnel) displayed George Bush stickers on their bumpers. So, they decided to not let any such vehicles to park in the lot. By implication, they were also making a statement that they were none-to-keen on the military fighting the war in Iraq (After all, it's all George W's fault we're at war--right?). Plus, they added a rule which prohibited foreign-made cars from parking in the lot (geez--are they brain dead? Most cars in the United States are made elsewhere and assembled here--including American-owned companies. They probably blame George W. for this as well.).
Well, word of what was happening quickly spread around the neighborhood to the point where the unionized shop had to recant their decision (seems like the people around the area actually supported the military more than the union anticipated). Too late. The military people decided to park somewhere else (good for them!). I can't believe that some people (in this case union members) are such sore losers. George Bush won the election fair and square. Get over it!
Look--if you're reading this and you are a liberal, hold your head up high and be proud that you're a liberal. But please--if things don't go your way, quit whining about it (and don't pass stupid rules because things aren't going your way.). Move on!
