Today, I visited Quick and Easy, a very popular Anchorage Geocache. My mission was to pick up a geocaching travel bug for my upcoming trip to Colorado. Travel bugs are very fond of long distance trips - I figure Anchorage to the Rockies definitely counts as a jaunt.
I selected a very cute travel bug, Barney. Barney has been around - he started out in England, has been to the Netherlands, Turkey, and now Alaska. He sure has accumulated those frequent flyer miles!
Barney's travel bug web site has several very cute pictures of Barney's travels. I can't resist posting some of them:
Here's Barney prior to commencing his journey. He looks very happy!

Initially, Barney traveled quite a bit in the UK. He stayed for a few days near this somewhat gloomy looking castle in Staffordshire, UK.

For quite awhile Barney hung out in the Netherlands!

Barney's last stop before Anchorage was Alayna, Turkey!!!! Caesar Antonius gave this beautiful plot of ground to Cleopatra as a wedding present.
Here's the view from the cache - And no, that is not Cleopatra in the picture - it's the co-owner of the Cleopatra and Alaaddin cache.
