Well, my stupid virus or whatever thingie it is, is certainly stubborn. Of course, there are those who wouldn't be at all surprised that once something becomes integrated with me, it becomes ridiculously stubborn.
I felt a tad better yesterday but feel totally punk today. So, it's definitely up and down.
The most annoying aspect of this whole thing is the itching. I itch everywhere. But, fortunately, the soles of my feet and the palms of my hands seem to be exempt. I've also lost my appetite - except for beer and chocolate chip cookies.
Another hallmark of this thingie are the weird dreams. All seeming to involve Peter in one way or another. My favorite was yesterday morning's dream - the Ski Boy was performing Karaoke - the tune was "Jumpin Jack Flash".

The Partnow Household gathered 'round the telly this morning for the running of Olympic Men's Marathon. Like last week's women's marathon, it was an absolutely fabulous race.
Except for the deranged idiot who grabbed the leader, Vanderlei Lima at about mile 22. I hope the crowd and the policeman pummeled that guy into the ground.
But the race itself was a real joy to watch. I still contend that the Marathon is the ultimate Olympic event - competition and suffering on a grand scale. And this year's Marathon over the original, beyond brutal course, in the oppressive heat was the ultimate marathon.
