A very nice day in Denver. I slept in, did a couple of downtown geocaches, and then Lucy and I headed off to the evening Rockies game. A perfect kind of day.
Tomorrow, Lucy and I'll do brunch at Lucille's in Boulder and then I'll head on up to Keystone. I'm going to do several geocaches on the way - sort of in honor of Dad. Highway 6 and Loveland Pass were two of his most favorite routes in Colorado.
Here are few pix from today:

A successful geocache - the WX Cache - in a parking garage of all places. These urban caches are tough!!!!!! It took me an hour and a run in with a security guard to find this puppy. When one thinks of siteseeing in downtown Denver, parking garages are probably not at the top of one's list.

Usually, when I visit Denver I stay at the Brown Palace, one of the great old hotels of the West. However, they were completely booked and so I'm across the street at the downtown Denver Comfort Inn. Now, this is not your ordinary Comfort Inn. The property is also owned by the Brown Palace, so it is definitely a zippy Comfort Inn.
And my Comfort Inn room is not your ordinary Comfort Inn abode. Nope, they upgraded me to a suite. A huge suite. I've lived in apartments and condos smaller than my suite. And I have a great view of Coors Stadium - home of the Colorado Rockies. Which is where Lucy and I will be this evening. Oh boy!!!!!

Barney, the well traveled Geocaching travel bug is with me in Denver. I think have the perfect cache in mind for him. Hopefully I can place him in his new home tomorrow.
But I did want to document that Barney had been to Alaska. And what better way than to show Barney with the native fauna - in this case, a moose:
