As I mentioned on Monday, Clemmie has an ear infection that temporarily (hopefully!) tweeked her hearing. I'm giving her antibiotic eardrops every day and I've also flooded her ear canals out with "otic canal cleanser".
All of these efforts have resulted in an almost immediate improvement in her hearing. However, the ears aren't improving at the same rate. Her left ear is markedly better while her right ear is lagging a bit. This has resulted in some lopsided echo location issues.
Yesterday, I was behind her and off to her right - definitely in a blind spot. I called to her to give her a biscuit and she got massively turned inside out.
She swung to her left and bounced in a Pepe le Pew sort of way - a biscuit was definitely high on her list. But she couldn't see me, so I called to her again. But she bounced further down the hall to the left - she was absolutely just sure I was down there somewhere. I finally had to go chase after her and get in front of her. She was so surprised.
