From CNN:
A black bear was found passed out at a campground in Washington state recently after guzzling down three dozen cans of a local beer, a campground worker said on Wednesday.
And it turns out that this bear was a beer snob:
It turns out the bear was a bit of a beer sophisticate. He tried a mass-market Busch beer, but switched to Rainier Beer, a local ale, and stuck with it for his drinking binge.
Definitely my kind of bear!

So, I'm home today with some minor (fortunately) variant of the flu. Digestive tract issues, low grade feaver, body aches, sore bronchial tubes, total lethargy, etc.

But the thing that is driving me nuts is the itching. I've been itchy all over my body since yesterday afternoon. I'm a scratching fool at this point. I do have a history of occasionally developing allergic reactions to viruses. Mono being the numero uno example on that front - an amazing head to toe rash that itched like nothing has ever itched in my life. It took cortisone to bring that puppy under control.

This just in from Sports Pickle:
The United States granted statehood to longtime territory Puerto Rico Sunday evening in a hurriedly arranged ceremony after the island’s basketball team routed the U.S. men 92-73 in the first round of the Olympics.
The article is pretty darn funny!
