So, I'm finally using one of my Christmas presents from the Ski Boy - the Canon i70 portable printer. It's 12 1/2 inches by 7 inches and weighs 4 pounds - it fits very nicely into my rucksack.
It is a dandy little printer - it uses regular paper and just chugs right through its printing chores. It is going to be a very handy travel partner!

Tonight, my great buddy Lucy and I had our now traditional yearly dinner at Barolo. This is the 4th year in a row that we've done Barolo and as always, it was just exquisite.
Fabulous Northern Italian food and an Italian wine list to die and go to heaven for.
Tonight's wine was a 2000 Oltre (Red Tuscan Wine) by Roberto Cosimi. A wonderful bottle of wine - big, chewy, and tarry. Just the way I like my Italian!!!!!
This evening, I am definitely a happy, albeit somewhat sloshy slat rat.

In my capacity as Prez of the Government Hill Community Council, I was quoted in yesterday's Daily News. Usually, when speaking to with the media, I try to walk the very narrow line between making my point and being politic.
However, this particular project is a canard that keeps coming back. So, I was unusually blunt in the article.

As I type, I'm in downtown Denver. Next week, I'm attending the Cable Labs summer conference up at Keystone. So, I came down a few days early to see friends, catch a baseball game, wander around my old haunts, etc.
It's warm in Denver: 85 degrees. Kinda hot for us cold weather Slat Rats.
