Democrats Abandon The Troops
Apparently, 90 Democrats don't believe that we're safer without Saddam, that the Iraqi people did not exhibit courage under Saddam, that the Iraqis shouldn't be commended for adopting Democracy, and that they believe that the U.S. Armed Forces did not perform valiantly. [Blackfive - The Paratrooper of Love]
Thanks for the list. It's good to know who these people are. Most are no surprise. I would like to see a list of the Dem's who voted for the resolution. CP

If Europe is now dropping it's pants for the terrorists why do they need this?
What is it with Europeans? Why is it that with the possible exception of the UK (and I'm not so sure about them) they all prize liberty but will never lift a finger to fight for it? If the U.S. was truly a imperialistic nation as we are always accused of being, all we would have to do is say - "we want Europe" - and that would be the end of it. That's not a bad idea!
Remember my little F THE FRENCH sign? Well now we can add Spain and Poland to the list. Now that the bullies have said "Give us your lunch money or we will beat you up" I expect about one nation a day will join the list of the spineless.

Global (The Sky is Falling) warming update
Am I reading this article correctly?
First read this sentence.
"For the contiguous United States the December-February average temperature was 33.7 degrees Fahrenheit, 0.7 degree above average. It was the 42nd warmest winter since nationwide records began in 1895."
Then read it again r-e-a-l s-l-o-w. Especially pay attention to the part that says...........
It was the 42nd warmest winter since nationwide records began in 1895.
Did that just say that even though we had a warmer winter than normal there have been 41 warmer winters? How much do you want to bet a lot of those winters were before SUV's or greenhouse gases were even thought of? CP

Little David was in his 5th grade class when the teacher asked the children what their fathers did for a living.
All the typical answers came up -- fireman, policeman, salesman, doctor, lawyer, etc.
David was being uncharacteristically quiet and so the teacher asked him about his father.
"My father's an exotic dancer in a gay cabaret and takes off all his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes, if the offer is really good, he'll go out to the alley with some guy and make love with him for money." The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the other children to work on some exercises and took little David aside to ask him, "Is that really true about your father?"
"No," said David, "He works for the Kerry campaign, but I was too embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids."

Terrorism to claim a second victory in Poland?
WARSAW, Poland (AP) - President Aleksander Kwasniewski, a key U.S. ally, said Thursday that Poland was "misled" about whether Saddam Hussein's regime had weapons of mass destruction and was considering withdrawing troops from Iraq several months early.
The remarks came as polls show about half of Poles are opposed to involvement in Iraq and after deadly bombings in Madrid - possibly by al-Qaida in retaliation for Spain's alliance with the United States - triggered fears of a terror attack on Polish soil.
It would be another sad day for freedom. Poland should know better, it was a victim of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. [Reality Hammer]
Everyone notice the similarities to the build up to WW2? The results will be the same and once again we will bail the world out and once again the world will hate us for it. Since history is considered a nonessential subject now in our schools we have an entire generation who can't learn from history because they never studied it.
The human race continues it's long slow slide into oblivion. Maybe the next rock won't miss and the earth can get on with the next experiment. This one has certainly been a dismal failure. CP

Fisking Goering
Guess what? People of good will, in all countries, at all times, prefer peace. Going to war is a very hard choice. To repeat: "People of good will, in all countries, at all times, prefer peace. Going to war is a very hard choice."
Anyone who claims it is easy to take a democracy into war knows nothing of Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt, George Bush, Tony Blair, or Jose Aznar. Or Lyndon Johnson. [The Politburo Diktat]

Monotonic Victory
In fact, it's arguable that the invasion of Iraq may have had the opposite effect, and reduced the number of al Qaeda attacks elsewhere. For one thing, the invasion of Iraq, and Saddam's capture while hiding in a septic tank, led to Qaddafi's decision to capitulate in December. His decision appears to have been genuine, and Libya has totally opened the books to the UK and US. Part of that was exposure of Libya's involvement in a furtive multi-nation effort to develop nuclear weapons. Another part which has gotten less publicity involves Libyan intelligence giving us everything they have about various terrorist groups in the Islamic world, and it is virtually certain some of that information has helped us in the shadow war against al Qaeda. Terrorists claim "truce" exists with Spain
Gosh, what a surprise.
Similarly, the ghost of Hitler has announced another "truce" with Czechoslovakia.
Poland was again assured that they were safe, as Hitler only had a problem with France and England. [Reality Hammer]
Whew! What a relief. Spain is safe! Not! CP

Peter Jennings is just finishing up a report on ABC news. While I can't quote him exactly (because I was too busy thinking every vile word possible directed toward him that I could), let me just share a few highlights: Jennings: Tonight we're going to [Julie Neidlinger]

Claremont Hate Crime Called Hoax (Los Angeles Times)
Los Angeles Times - A week after a reported campus hate crime drew national attention, sparked protests and shut down the prestigious Claremont Colleges, police on Wednesday called the incident a hoax staged by a professor who slashed tires, shattered windows and spray-painted racist graffiti on her own car.
