Richard Clarke: Career Bureaucrat with a legacy of failures
Just follow the money. Clarke is trying to get rich by telling lies about President Bush and his administration. Clarke knows that President Bush cannot use sensitive material to prove Clarke wrong, so Clarke thinks he is free to roam the countryside telling lies about the U.S. government.
No one in the liberal media has yet put this question to Mr. Clarke: if he knew that Osama Bin Laden was a major, imminent threat to the United States, why didn't he convince the Clinton administration to do anything about him? Why wasn't it a major campaign issue in 2000? Why didn't he go public in 2001 if he thought America was in imminent danger? There are always many members of Congress willing to attack a President over foreign policy.
Clarke hasn't offered any proof for his allegations. As a career bureaucrat he surely had plenty of opportunity to stockpile evidence against Osama Bin Laden. Where are his facts of mass implication? They, like Clarke, are simply a lot of hot air.

Where to begin: the mind boggles at such shamelessness. To state the obvious, in late 2000 the Clinton administration was STILL IN OFFICE. If there were steps that needed to be taken immediately to counter the al Qaeda threat, as they "bluntly" told President Bush's transition team, why didn't they take those steps themselves?
More broadly, of course, the Clinton administration was in power for eight years, while al Qaeda grew, prospered, and repeatedly attacked American interests. [Power Line]

CBS Fails to Disclose Financial Ties to Richard Clarke
CBS News has apparently decided to publish anything by anyone with a grudge against George Bush, and part of their marketing is to hijack the reputation of the news organization that Edward R. Murrow built in order to push their political agenda. Laura Ingraham wondered on her show today why Lesley Stahl tossed Clarke softball after softball during the interview, and now we know why. This whole Richard Clarke thing had a very strong odor to it when it first hit. I smelled very big Bush hating money in the background somewhere. Looks like my suspicions were right. I think we are going to see a lot more of this before the election. Call it a Vast Left Wing Conspiracy if you want but I believe there are some very powerful well funded Bush hating forces out there. I would like to see them spend huge fortunes on this effort only to see GW win in a landslide because people are smarter then the donks give them credit for. It's going to be a long bumpy ride.

Be advised - this is a very long list.
I'll say it again.......Israel believes that they exist because their God wants them to exist. If he wants you to exist then you must also believe that he wants you to use the tools he gave you to protect your people. I for one am getting very tired of this whole mess when you have the means to end it in a day.
How many more decades must we listen to this daily crap about how many were killed in today's bombings? How long will this list become? Twice as long? Three times as long? It's BULLSHIT!
Since the 40's we have these two people standing there slapping each other in the face over and over and over. Take care of business Israel before your God changes his mind.

"Now, call me skeptical, but when most people make a claim and then refuse to back it up after they make it, even getting angry when asked about it, it usually means that they are big fat liars. The angle that he is taking combined with his attitude just makes him look like a pissy high school debate team geek who just got caught in copying a speech".
Bastard tells me he's not really dead - just his brain. I think he has been watching too much television news! If I do that I walk around for a day or two feeling like life is over so why don't we just kill our selves?

The Democrats embrace the policies that borught us the Depression.
The cruelest economic tragedy of modern times was the Great Depression, a disaster deepened and accelerated by the Smoot-Hawley Tariffs of 1930. They raised import duties to the highest level in American history, igniting a global trade war. In three years U.S. exports to Europe declined to $784 million from $2.3 billion, and U.S. imports from Europe declined to $390 million from $1.3 billion. Global international trade fell by 66%.
Three-quarters of a century later the liberals' campaign drumbeat is to return to the wrongheaded policies of yesteryear that destroyed jobs and devastated the economy. Former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards is a protectionist zealot, and the designated nominee, John Kerry, is a sympathizer. Protectionism is the gospel of labor unions, the Democratic Party, and about half the Republicans in the U.S. Senate, who voted for a protectionist amendment to forbid the awarding of federal government contracts to companies that outsource any of the work overseas.
Sen. Kerry's home state of Massachusetts has 221,000 "in-sourced" jobs from European and Asian companies--Nestle, Novartis Biomedical, Honda, etc. Should the CEOs of those companies be required by their governments to shut their American plants and bring those jobs home to Europe and Japan? And should the CEO of the H.J. Heinz Corporation--Mrs. Kerry's family business--be required to close the 57 plants it is operating in foreign nations (compared with 22 in America) and bring those jobs home?
Very Interesting.
They taught us about the Great Depression in school but I don't remember them telling us about the root causes.

NAS Lemoore, California 2004 Airshow pictures.
NAS Lemoore is the west coast home for the Navy F/A-18. It is by far the largest Naval Air Station in size due to it's location in the Central San Joaquin Valley of California. Probably the only U.S. air base larger would be Edwards AFB. It was purposely located here because there is nothing near but farm fields. Other bases established in rural areas in the past have had cities grow up around them. People built their homes at the end of runways and then complained about the noise. That can never happen here because the Navy was smart enough to buy approximately 10,000 acres surrounding the base proper as a buffer zone. The same farmers who once owned the land still farm right up to the edge of the runways. The only noise complaints here would come from gofers, coyotes, and field mice.
This was my first duty station when I joined the Navy in 1967. I spent half of my Navy career here in different squadrons which deploy on aircraft carriers. When I retired we stayed here because of the low population and availability of jobs.
