I'm tired of all the lies.  Everyone knows that all the Republicans do is lie, lie, lie ... right?  The libs say so and they would never lie so it must be true!

So - I have decided to become a liberal!

Bush Is Hitler

"But let's just look at it as if Bush were Hitler. Since the booger eatin' moh-ron challenged me to pick up a newspaper and read it let's just think about that. If Bush were Hitler, we would not be able to read or hear any dissent since Bush would have shut down all opposition media. Yep! If Bush were Hitler there would be no ABCCBSNBCCNNNPRPBS, the new liberal radio network (Good luck Al! You're gonna need it. You ceased being funny a long time ago.) , Washington Post, New York Times, LA Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Atlanta Urinal and Constipation, et. al. All the liberal sites on the internet would be shut down. So tell me again how reading a free and open opposition press proves Bush is Hitler? This is gonna be the problem with liberal radio. Liberals do not do very well with facts. I read that the dude bankrolling it is willing to endure three years of red ink. Good for him! That's money that won't be given to Dimocrats."   [Grouchy Old Cripple]

Jacko on the Hill

If you ever wanted an example of just how morally bankrupt Congressional Democrats are, this should suffice.

op star Michael Jackson is in Washington to discuss his commitment to combating AIDS in Africa. He met with members of the Congressional Black Caucus to discuss the fight against AIDS. He told lawmakers he plans a visit to Africa later... [Right-Thinking from the Left Coast]

FrankenNet

Note: I'll give Franken credit for one statement he made that actually conveyed a thought: he was unhappy that Kerry wouldn't admit to being a liberal, and he'd like to try to make "liberal" be less of a perjorative. Sure, Al, as long as "conservative" gets the same treatment. (Somehow I doubt he wants that.)    [Helloooo, Chapter Two!]

Kerry's first 100 days

Day 84: Gave in to French Ambassador’s whining and gave back Louisiana Territory to avoid charge of imperialism.
Day 85: Declared martial law to help defend New France from American terrorists.
Day 86: Realized that the Louisiana Territory included the approx. 1/3 of Continental US. Immediately re-annexed territory. Fortunately, local Boy Scout Troops had already rounded up whole French military and taught them proper hygene.
Day 87: Blamed Louisiana Invasion on Bush’s poor homeland security policies. Claimed would not have happened if he was president.
Day 88: Remembered he was president. Denied statement of previous day. Fired Sec. of Defense for being to ‘militaristic’.
Day 99: In an attempt to bolster falling poll numbers, bit the head off of a chicken.
Day 100: Died in unusual toaster-bathtub-shotgun-sleeping pill-crossbow-Doberman-lawnmower-egg beater accident. Succeeded by Vice-President Hillary Clinton.

Kerry Flip-Flops On Gas Prices, Campaign Tone

We may have the most gymnastic presidential candidate ever fielded in modern American history. John Kerry has mastered the art of the flip-flop, changing positions with blinding speed on such issues as the war in Iraq, funding the troops, gay...

Yes, I can see how calling Bush a racist bigot maintains Kerry's facade as the more "positive" campaigner.  [Captain's Quarters]

Starbucks Unveils Aggressive Growth Plan (AP)

AP - Starbucks is opening coffee shops at the rate of about 3 1/2 a day worldwide, and that figure could increase, chief executive Orin Smith told shareholders at the company's annual meeting Tuesday. [Yahoo! News - Top Stories]

Lets see ... we already have one in every town in America.  At the present rate of growth we will have one on every block in the next five years.  Five years after that there will be one in every home in America making your morning coffee for you for10 bucks a cup.  Is there no end to the madness?

When liberals try to whine about "high" gas prices.... Remind them that:

They want higher gas prices because of taxes and other environmental concerns. Remember Al Gore's gas tax ideas? How about John Kerry's support for a $0.50 per gallon gas tax?

President Bush liberated Iraq. Their oil will soon affect global supply, and thus bring about lower prices.

They are not accounting for inflation. The late 1970s and early 1980s were much worse, with gas prices peaking at $2.90 per gallon (national average, in today's dollars) in March of 1981.

Then pat them on their head and send them on their way, one step closer to being smart enough to stop calling themselves a liberal. [Reality Hammer]

I thought I was the only one who remembered the gas lines and rationing of the 70's.  We were living in Hawaii at the time trying to survive on military pay.  If  that were to happen today the hue and cry would be deafening.  What a bunch of spoiled babies we are in this country.
