Blogging an Election

I've been trying to get the candidates running for city office to start weblogs. I haven't done a good job selling so far. So here I go again.

Tara Sue Grubb was the first candidate to blog her campaign. Here is her post about blogs in politics and the race that she was just starting. Says Grubb, "What about a twenty-six year old female running against an aged, eighteen year career politician?  We are polar opposites in many ways.  Despite the odds, whatever they be, I am as serious as a heart attack."

2003 Denver City Council Election

The Denver Rocky Mountain News highlights Council District 2 today. Currently Ted Hackworth is the councilperson representing 2 but that'll change this spring due to term limits. Here's the Rocky snapshot of District 2.

2003 Denver Mayoral Election

Sue Casey is driving one issue in the election today, that of the Daniels mansion donated to the city. The Denver Rocky Mountain News has a story. Even Dwight Henson won't live there. Some of the mansion's amenities are listed in this Rocky story.

The Denver Post is running and in-depth piece on transportation issues. They ask several of the mayoral candidates their opinions. No big differences between them. They all think that government can and should be the driver for a transportation solution.
