Tragedy And Triumph
With todays Space Shuttle tragedy, the world mourns. How very easily we become complacent about the very miracles in our lives. Only one hundred years ago, we were infants yet earth bound and praising the winged creatures that flew over our heads. Today, we look down upon these feathered beings from worlds away. Is it still not extraordinary that men and women leave this earth bound sphere to test the forces outside our realm?. These brave astronauts risked everything for the sake of mankinds' thirst for knowledge, and in so doing, have offered up the most extreme price. They have quenched a part of our thirst. We should always remember that even though we cannot always see how others directly impact our lives, most assuridly they do. And we should never become too complacent about the miracles they bring, for these are the building blocks of even greater accomplishments, yet to be known.
