'Round and 'Round

Cycles. I often think about the many cycles in our lives. The cycle of the moon and the tide. The cycle of the seasons from spring through winter. Even the egg and the chicken. For what is a cycle anyway but a continuous set of events and occurrences. A circle within a circle, a wheel within a wheel. I see cycles in my everyday life, the sun rising then setting...even my own waking and sleeping. Likewise, I note cycles in occupational settings and even in social interactions. For awhile, things will seemingly be quite difficult and no matter how unsavory they become, I always feel if I can only "ride them out", surely this too will cycle back into better daysWhich_Comes_First?. Sometimes, this waiting proves to be very trying and one can get frustrated anticipating the day when the turn of events will unfold. I believe in the old saying that "what goes around, comes around". And when I attempt to put it out of my mind and let nature take its own course, at least for me, inevitably it does turn. If you can only bear those moments of discomfort, perhaps you will realize that better times are just a cycle away.
