Laziness

It is not often that something perturbs me to such an extent that I feel compelled to confront the issue...but in this, I make the exception. How many times have you found someone who neglects to adhere to the moral and ethical expectations of society with regards to work?Lazy  When I speak of "lazy" I do not infer those times we all share "kicking back" to enjoy a well deserved relaxation of some sort, but I mean, those people who actually expend a great deal of effort and energy seeking the easiest way to have someone else do their work for them. Going far out of their way to avoid the task that is rightfully required of them. I am not advocating the return to the dark ages where work was all consuming and men would break their backs for scant wages, but even those poor souls had some pride.  Unfortunately, it seems to occur these days with greater frequency than that of mere coincidence. Many people have a sense of decency and pride about completing tasks required of them, and certainly, we all search for easier ways of accomplishing these tasks. But to rely upon others to fulfill your own duties is nothing short of...lazy.

Today's Quote:

A lazy person, whatever the talents with which he sets out, will have condemned himself to second-hand thoughts and to second-rate friends.-Cyril Connolly
