Living Like An Orange

How very fortunate I thought, to be living where I do in such a paradise. While a good portion of the rest of the country is constrained by cold and snow, here I sit in balmy, sunny weather. Today was exceptionally warm and beautiful. I watched a magnificent sunrise of red, umber and gold...followed by a hours of blue sky, tempertures in the high 70's and a slight ocean breeze. And as not to be outdone, the sunset was a marvelous sight of mixed indigo, magenta and goldenrod.Oranges Finally, as I walked my garden, I noticed my orange tree ladened with fruit. It has always been a tradition that I pick the first orange of each season on Christmas Day. I suppose it represents all the blessing I have living where I do and perhaps, serves as a reminder of just how lucky I am.

Today's Quote:

California is a wonderful place to live - that is, if you are an orange.-Fred Allen
