Your Cup?

The age old question of "Do you see it half full...or half empty?", is what most people think of when asked whether they are optimistic or pessimistic. And I suppose that this is a quick way to determine a general slant upon someones personality. But as you are probably aware, I attempt to see most things from slightly different perspectives. So the question I would ask is..."Tell me what you see?"Cobalt_Vision. Perhaps your answer would be more telling than you realize. Surely, someone could reply with a strict and precise response to shape and size. Others may note the color and texture. Still, another may acknowledge function over fashion. But give me the person who see the "possibilities" in just such an object, who describes what "could be" not just "what is". Do they see with cobalt blue clarity, their future paths, or perhaps the potential of filling their lives to the brim with things to come? Are they able see the transparency of reasons they give others for their actions? Can they envision the necessities that quench a thirst? So what is it that you see? How interesting that answer might truly be...even though many see merely... an empty cup!

Today's Quote:

The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds; and the pessimist fears this is true.-James Branch Cabell
