Fragrance of Life
Have you ever noticed a particular moment in your life when all of the sudden you encounter some wonderful fragrance? It could be a beautiful rose that someone hands you or perfume wafting upon the air of a passerby. Maybe fresh mown grass, steaks on the grill or even hickory wood burning in someones fireplace...just down the road. And in that moment, something inside you flashes back to a long forgotten memory of days gone by when first that scent enveloped your senses. You stop,...and can vividly recall that day with all of its' details and nuances. How strong that trigger really is which can cause your mind to replay those scenes as easily as any movie show. Even those days you wish to forget, can flood back with the mere wiff of some particular scent. And that reminds me, life is so very full of such unpredictable "fragrances", that perhaps, all we need do is slow down, drink in the scent and exalt in the aroma.
