Shaken, Not Stirred

At just about 4:19am this morning, I was awakened by one of our occassional vistors, the earthquake. While the next few mintues we experienced the typical "aftershocks", my mind started to think about just how our world really is in a state of flux.Cracks Not only the physical geography below our feet but also that which we call "life". Nothing is really absolutely stable...everything is constantly shifting and changing. Whether its your relationships or dreams and desires. We all age everyday, places familiar change with time and so it is with our thoughts and opinions. But I believe that to be a good thing. Just think, if nothing ever changed how very boring would that be? To see the same sights everyday, even the most beautiful views, may become rather ordinary and unappealing. Yes, change is really a blessing if you can see beyond the cracks and shifting sands. And who knows, that arid parcel you bought in Arizona, may tomorrow be ocean front property!
